Our growing Hamilton client is seeking a Reporting Analyst to ensure continuous communication with internal customers. This role requires excellent communication techniques, exceptional customer service and strong technical skills to provide a high level of service regarding business analytics and reporting.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Develop reports using various reporting tools, particularly MS-SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Implement methods to improve existing business processes
  • Run reports and queries for Finance and Operations
  • Import, export and integrate data between systems
  • Identify critical areas of data structure; implement creative ways to improve reporting performance
  • Document data systems
  • Provide assistance on the helpdesk as needed
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
 
  • Strong MS SQL server skills (table, view, DTS packages, stored procedure designs)
  • Strong reporting skills experience, using applications such as Crystal Reports, Cognos PowerPlay/Transformer/Impromptu
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding the concept of relational databases and data warehousing
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • "Client Service" oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Team Player
  • The following programs would be an asset: Visio, EDI, Navision, Novaview Panorama
  • Knowledge of Finance/Accounting
 
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
 
  • University Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering preferred (or degree + related computer experience)
